The reason that the Slam Balls are becoming increasingly popular in Europe, is because these sand-filled balls are made of sturdy PVC and are therefore particularly adapted for exercises such as Med-Ball Slams. These are exercises at which the Slam Balls are thrown against the floor or the wall.
The big advantage is that the Slam Balls are made specifically for this purpose: they fall right to the ground and therefore do not bounce. Moreover, the Slam Balls can be easily used for various "normal Med Ball" exercises such as the Med-Ball Squat.
